Who we are
Anna and Pablo Otaola began house hacking in 2017, which means living in one unit of a property and renting out the others. That first step grew into apartments in several states.
Anna is a painter whose work has been shown across the country. Pablo founded Thriving Culture, LLC, a consulting firm for inclusive workplaces. They are raising a bicultural family and move between the United States and Spain.
Their view of money is simple: wealth is a tool, not a goal. Housing tests that view every month. We aim to treat residents the way we would want to be treated.

A married couple, a few properties that became many, and one rule: run the homes the way we would want our own run.
How it started
In 2017 Anna and Pablo Otaola bought their first multi-unit property. They lived in one unit and rented the rest. People call this house hacking. It lowered their own housing cost and taught them what residents notice: whether the heat works, whether someone replies to a message, whether the rules are the same for everyone.
They kept going. Thriving Real Estate, LLC now owns rental homes in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In Colorado it rents in Denver, Aurora, Brighton. The company is based in Denver.

Pablo handles day-to-day contact with residents and applicants. He is also the founder of Thriving Culture, LLC, a consulting firm that helps organizations build inclusive workplaces.
Anna Otaola
Anna is a painter. Her work has been shown across the United States and is collected at Anna O Art. Her eye for color and space shapes how the homes look and feel.

These are small things. They save residents and us a lot of trouble over a year, and they cost nothing to start today.
- Report small problems early. A slow drip costs less to fix than a ceiling that has already come down.
- Keep smoke and carbon monoxide alarms working. Tell us if one chirps.
- In freezing weather, keep the heat on. Let faucets trickle if a pipe runs along an outside wall.
- Send maintenance requests in writing through RentRedi. That gives both of us a record of what was reported and what was done about it.
